PTI Holds Seminar on Construction Quality Management System

PTI has held a seminar for heads of construction contractors working at Transneft subsidiaries’ facilities.

Transneft, being one of the key elements of the energy sector of the Russian Federation, states that its top priority in the construction sphere is the continuous development of oil and petroleum products trunk pipeline transportation system with a consistently high level of quality,  sustainability and safety of facilities under construction and revamping.

One of the principles of the construction quality policy of Transneft is developing a culture of quality for the work performed and the services provided in the field of construction at Transneft, Transneft subsidiaries and contractors.

The Pipeline Transport Institute held a seminar for heads of contractor companies performing construction and installation at Transneft’s facilities in order to draw attention to the basic principles of quality improvement in construction, as well as to achieve a common understanding of requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 international standard  in the development, implementation and maintenance of the construction quality management system.

Mikhail Kruglov, Professor of Higher School of Economics, was the speaker at the seminar. During the seminar, main provisions of ISO 9001:2015 and global trends in incident, problem and risk management were considered and a discussion on implementing a construction quality management system as well as ensuring and enhancing its operation was held.
