The Pipeline Transport Institute (PTI) has become the official partner and participant of the 16th International Oil and Gas Exhibition / MIOGE 2019, held in Moscow at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Complex.
PTI presented the results of its R&D activities in the field of geotechnical monitoring, energy-efficient pipeline system technologies and ultrasonic testing of welded joints during the technical programme of the exhibition. The capabilities of the experimental hydrodynamic test benches designed by the Institute for the purpose of studying oil and petroleum products transportation processes were also demonstrated at the event.
“MIOGE served as a meeting point for our professional community to get together, discuss topical issues and address the potential interest in the innovations developed by the institute. Hydrocarbons transportation considered in terms of process efficiency and faultless operation, along with accident rate reduction and risk assessment - these are the issues relevant to the entire oil and gas industry today. The meeting was also attended by representatives of extracting companies, who are our potential partners, whom we have established contacts with,” noted Oleg Aralov, Director of the Centre for Products Conformity Assessment, Metrology and Automation of Operational Processes at PTI.
OIL & GAS / MIOGE is a large-scale Russian international exhibition of oil and gas equipment and technologies, which was first held in 1993. The exhibition featured modern technologies and developments from the leading Russian and foreign manufacturers and suppliers of oil and gas equipment.
Professor Nikolay Makhutov, Chief Researcher at PTI, Doctor of Engineering and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences moderated the “New Technologies, Equipment, and Materials for Trunk Pipeline Design, Construction, Operation, and Maintenance” meeting.
