Yakov Fridlyand, Director General of the Pipeline Transport Institute, has paid a working visit to the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU). He has taken a tour of the university’s sectoral laboratories and discussed cooperation in the field of scientific research and development for the oil transportation industry with the University’s chancellor.
The range of issues discussed has covered establishing a base USPTU chair for pipeline transport, which is planned to be hosted by the Scientific and Technical Centre (STC) which the Pipeline Transport Institute runs in Ufa. It is also proposed to offer refreshment courses for employees of Transneft subsidiaries at the chair.
“Due to the powerful sci-tech and research base, cooperation between the Pipeline Transport Institute and USPTU in the development of oil and petroleum products transport technologies lays a solid foundation for stable evolution of the industry for many years to come,” Yakov Fridlyand noted.
